The Elephant in the Room: Jobs and AI

Anyone who knows me knows I’m no stranger to tackling difficult conversations, especially when they lead to fresh ideas and solutions. It’s what I love most: stepping into the unknown, asking tough questions, and challenging the status quo. So, when I see peers expressing fear or defeat about AI’s impact on our industry, I can’t help but ask, “How can we use this to our advantage?” This unease around innovation isn’t new. Throughout history—from the Industrial Revolution to the rise […]

The Telly Judging Experience

This year I was fortunate to be invited to participate as a judge on the Silver Council of the Telly Awards. It was a fascinating ‘Behind the Curtain’ view of one of the longest running awards for “works across all screens.” On the tail end of this year’s judging, I’d like to give some perspective. Full disclosure: I also pulled in 3 Tellys as an entrant this year, but an entrant is not allowed to judge their own entry (so […]

2020: Turning Disadvantage into Advantage

No need to go about how bad 2020 was, suffice to say, if you are reading this (thankfully) you survived. Completing the Film Festival Circuit

As I wind down the festival run for “Life and the Lady”, I wanted to reflect on the process rather than the destination. The festival run has been a HUGE educational experience for me in terms of what constitutes a festival, and what may simply be a laurel-grabbing screening.  Starting the festival run was the world premiere in Toronto (and BEST EXPERIMENTAL FILM award) at the Open World Film Festival. Considering myself a “world citizen,” it was an honor to […]

‘Life and the Lady’ Film: 2018 Film Private Premiere Photos

After 5 years or preproduction and underwater training, and 2 years of production and post, ‘Life and the Lady’ was brought to life in 2018! Tickets were free and this was a private, by invite only screening, but we sold out in the first 48 hours. This film involved all of the known struggles a film would be known for; fundraising, draining of the Director’s (Michelantony’s) bank account, even a (non-film related) death in Pre-production.

Focusing in….

Welcome! I wanted to give you a clearer picture of who I am, how I work, and what I’ve learned at this stage in my career. You hire me to execute your vision, and I’m in a place of service when I do that. I don’t call extension chords “stingers” or clothes pins “C47’s”. I’ve never been one to be part of the “good ol’ production boys’ club” and have worked towards a more modern approach that is-what-it-is; a team […]
